I’m packing my bags in preparation for the last leg of my book tour. It’s going to be a grand finale! Tour stops include Atlanta, Greenville, SC, Murrells Inlet and Charleston. I’ve had an amazing tour thus far, and I can’t wait to see all my Southern friends! To see if I’ll be speaking and signing at a location near you, please check my events calendar here!
While being driven to an event in San Francisco, I retrieved a voice message from my lovely publisher, Pamela Dorman. She had called to tell me that my new novel was already a NYT bestseller, landing on the list at #20. I am thrilled and feeling incredibly blessed. Huge thanks to all the booksellers, librarians, book bloggers and readers … it couldn’t have happened without you!
The notice comes out early, so this list will be officially posted on June 16th.
Last night following an author event where I spoke at Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati, my friend and fellow author Jennifer King left me a gift-wrapped package. What was inside brought tears to my eyes. Each item had been handcrafted by Jennifer and had profound meaning. I’m so blessed! Thank you, Jennifer … I will cherish this forever!

I’m thrilled to share the latest news – Looking for Me has the honor of being selected as a June 2013 INDIE NEXT PICK! Huge thanks to the independent booksellers across the country for all their support and the fantastic review! The listing of all the INDIE NEXT books can be found here.
I just received news from the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance (SIBA) and I’m delighted to announce that LOOKING FOR ME has been chosen as a SIBA Okra Pic. And what is an Okra Pick?
The Okra Picks are a dozen new titles chosen each season that SIBA Indie Booksellers are eager to hand-sell. These books must be southern in nature and can cover any genre, not just fiction. Each publishing season ushers in a new harvest of Okra Picks, and only SIBA booksellers can make a nomination for this award.
This is wonderful honor!
