BOOK BLOGGERS

Many of my readers are unfamiliar with book bloggers, and since September 13-17 is Book Blogger Appreciation Week,  I thought I’d share a bit about book bloggers today. If you’re a book lover (I assume you are since you’re visiting my website), and not currently following any bloggers, then holy-waste-of-time-and-money, Batman—you’re missing out! And here’s why …

Not only are book bloggers the new and oh-so powerful wave in the publishing world, they are incredibly valuable to writers and readers alike. Book bloggers have an insatiable hunger for a well-told story. In a way they are addicts of the best kind—thriving on the written word and floating on a natural high when they fling open the door and step inside a bookstore.

Good book bloggers can save you precious hours of reading time, and they can also help keep your hard-earned dough from being sucked down the drain. Once you hook into a list of bloggers who share your taste in books, you’ll rarely experience that horrible why-in-the-world-did-I-buy-this-book! aggravation.

For my personal experience with book bloggers, you can read the article,  BOOK BLOGGERS: FOXES OF THE LITERARY WORLD, and you can check out my blogroll. I’m always discovering good book bloggers and adding them to the list, so please check back.

I’ll finish this post by saying these simple but heartfelt words: Happy BBAW to the many wonderful book bloggers I’ve come to know and trust—thank you for sharing your wisdom, thoughts, humor, and kindness. You’ve enriched my reading enjoyment in countless ways—and you’ve saved me enough money that I just might go out and buy that handbag I’ve had my eye on!
