Last year I noticed a lot of buzz on Twitter about a man named Ward Foley, so I decided to Google his name and see what all the fuss was about. What I discovered was far more than I could have imagined. Ward was born with Arthrogryosis Multiplex Congenita, a rare, complex, and disfiguring disorder that involves much physical suffering and emotional pain.
Ward’s story is heartbreaking, hopeful, and ultimately downright joyous. He exemplifies the words determination and perseverance, and above all else—heart. And speaking of hearts, his is mighty big! I’m lucky enough to have had the opportunity to get to know Ward, and he never ceases to amaze me with his positive energy and generous spirit.
I wanted to share Ward’s story here today and encourage you to buy his book and read it—I can promise you, it’s one you’ll never forget.
You can visit Ward’s website HERE for many uplifting stories, and you’ll find a contact section where you can connect with Ward and inquire about speaking engagements and also purchase his book THANK MY LUCKY SCARS.
